Blog- Post Assessment

There are so many different types of restaurant in New Jersey, But lucky me I'm not from New Jersey. Were i come for i get really good food and I take pride in that to. There are so many places I can choose from but I would pick In-N-Out Burger. The reason why I choose the In-N-Out burger because its better than Five guys burger. The food that they serve there is well Burgers. Its in the name so yeah. My favorite thing that comes from there is the Double double just

In the year of 1948 the great IN-N-Out burger was founded by Harry and Esther Snyder. The idea for the drive-through would be different for just walking in. The reason why this is my favorite restaurant it was fast and easy to get. The location is always in California no matter what. Its never been to any other state.

Now if the In-n-out restaurant was going to be closed down and I have to pick it would be Alberto's Mexican Food. The reason why I choose this as my secondary restaurant because its me. And when I say that both this restaurants are good I mean they are good. .

do now 12/2

there are many different types of classes during school, but one that I would like to put in schools is how you can get ready for collage. the reason I say this is because lots of people will be going to any type of collage or university and half them will not know what to do, well that's life for you and no one can prepare it for you. the class would meet at first second seventh and eighth period. the students would learn how life in collage really is.

the class would be like a normal class room, but it would be less students for each class. the teachers would teach the students how life would be in collage and how it feels. and thats my class i would like to put in

A doctor wearing Google Glass treats a patient. Google is working with companies on bringing the wearable into workplaces to improve productivity.
A nervous new doctor performing a procedure for the first time puts on a pair of Google Glass and scrubs in. From the moment she makes her first incision, a live video feed of the operation is streamed from her glasses to a surgeon outside the operating room who gives live feedback over earbuds.Training medical professionals is just one of the many workplace uses Google Glass is experimenting with. Earlier this year, Google launched its glass at works certification program, in which it collaborates with businesses interested in using Glass to improve productivity and save money. Ten companies have signed on so far.Google's head-mounted computer is almost two years old, but the product is still officially in beta. Glass was originally marketed only as a consumer device, but it has had difficulty finding a niche in the consumer market, where it struggled with privacy, etiquette and safety issues. But then some of Glass' early adopters put the wearable to work, using the device to make their jobs more efficient. Some of the most exciting potential for wear ables is in the health industry, where workers need to keep their hands sterile. The small screen mounted on Glass can be used to display checklists or vital signs. Smart glasses can also let specialists consult on cases far from their hospital. This type of telemedicine has been around for years, but high costs and regulation have made widespread adoption difficult.

ever since the incident at target it happen again. but it wasn't at target it was a home depot. over 53 million emails hacked over there. in this article shows how it happen an when it happened. so during this crazy event a lot of the people are in panic because the hackers have there information and the hackers are able to access the there personal information and get in to there bank accounts. the hackers used the same thing they did used on target the only problem they had was they didn't have the full access to home depot.
 1. How can a wiki be used a current class on your schedule (not this course)? Pick a class and be specific how the class could create and use a Wiki on a regular basis (tip: Use the Internet, here is a good source)
the wiki can be used in multiple classes, but mostly it would be use in world history. the only reason why i say this is because you have to research a lot of the the events and the people during that time.

2. What are the benefits of using a wiki in class

using this research for classes and for future uses

3. How can we create a wiki in this class, what would be contribute to it and how would be utilize it on an on-going basis?
if we do this students are able to post information that they have learn over the years and they can share it with the class

4. What experience do you have using or creating wikis?
i have never created a wiki, but using it i have. all i learned was that don't trust them a lot. the only reason i say that is because a lot of them are out dated or the information on there is false

Google tests provides live chats with doctors

On this cnn article Google is Testing live chats with real doctors anytime. But it has to be for medical problems nothing stuiped. But as of right now it's just a test. Google is putting a lot of money into this before it is even public. Sadly there is no video of this but only images. So here at the example of how it would look like if you were looking for something. but other wise its easier for the patient to get information than searching for sites that can give false information about what ever problem you have.

Do Now 9/29/2014

The meaning for the word editorial is of or relating to the commissioning or preparing of material for publication or a newspaper article written by or on behalf of an editor that gives an opinion on a topical issue. But to get to the point of this do now is what is wrong with Wikipedia and the teachers. teachers do not want students to use this as a source because of the information that is on their site. almost everything that's on that site is false and that's why teachers don't like students using this site.

from this article it states that teachers don't like there students using it because from the information that is one there. Adding that some teachers will let students use this sit because the assessment doesn't count for anything for that class. but when the teacher doesn't let the student use Wikipedia that mean he/she wants the right information that is on the assignment.

Those are the reasons why teachers don't like using the site. all the false information on the site is really bad for ex. lets say a student looks up mars and he/she gets a song. point being is that Wikipedia is a really bad site

7 ways to stay away form hackers and how hackers do it

1. turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

hackers are usually are used to this to hack into peoples accounts for money location or and any thing that they have that is valuable. turning off the Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth is one of the things people should do because the hacker can access anything that is stored in your phone.

2. Use two-step authentication

Nowadays people need more than one password. This prevents the hackers for going into your files. Social media like Facebook And tweeter use this two step program. if you don't do the this the hacker can access your personal files

3. Create a smart password strategy

Making smart password that are difficult for the hacker to find out. For certain web sits they let make the person have him or her make it clever

4. Use https on every web site

Mainly everyone has this for there computer because no one wants to have viruses or hackers. Apple and android products have them installed, but hackers are able to get in because the product has little protection.

5. Bulk up your home Wi-Fi

getting internet is a tour through hell, because the hacker can get in to it. to avoid this set up a password don't keep the default one that the provider has given you. next the machine will ask what type of security encryption do you want, the safest is Wpa-2. if you choose other security encryption the hacker will get in very easily.

6. Don't Hide Your WI-FI

hiding your WI-FI is a little tricky because when you do its a trap. the only reason is that your divice will try to connect to other WI-FI networks then it well malfunction because you are getting hacked. so remember. plus your connecting to strangers WI-FI.

7. think twice before buying an internet-connected device

buying product off the internet can come with consequences. lets say your buying a smart oven or fridge you can get hacked for being on that site .

how hackers do it

hackers can do it from any were. from phones, laptops, and drones. Adding that the hacker can be on your WI-FI at home is a piece of cake for them. Hackers can also find were you live, go into your bank account, and find your own personal information.

5 ways how technology helps education

1. Better simulations and models
Schools set up simulations for students for math or science class so they can understad better. Face it students have that one thing that their not good at in one go these subjects. So by using the simulation or the models it we'll help the them for that subject.

2. Global learning
Yeah students can look up videos or use a wiki for help to learn a different language but for school is a different story. Schools can set up language lessons on a computer with a touch of a button. For ex. Schools will use http://glovico.org/ for students to learn a different language or some thing like that.

3. E-Books
E-book can help students by reducing the amount of text books for the students. just look at it because students can hold ant type of tablet through out the day instead of holding four text books in your bag.

4. Epistemic games
Game that the schools can set up games for the class that they are in or the games can help the student with real life challenges or anything else.

5. Tech helps teachers
Teachers can use technology to see how the student or teachers can use this to see all the assignments. teachers can also use this for experiments to test the student to see how he/she is doing

Web 2.0 Multimedia blog posting

This year in World history with Miss. Garvin we are using the new laptops called the chrome books that the school had provided to some classes. through out the year we as the class will use them, when we us the laptops can help for each class to focus more and learn more. mainly for that class is just for history. http://wood-ridge.schoolwires.net/Domain/208 (teachers web site) Mrs. Garvin has been that good at all wasn't learning anything at all. last year i wasn't learning anything, but I'm hoping that can change this year. as of right now in class we are learning about the Renaissance. the renaissance time was when it was after the dark ages and the the golden age.

This year i am hoping i could learn more about the history than last year because i couldn't learn anything last. last year all learned was about america witch i didn't really understand. but for this year I can learn something else then America. now that we can use the laptops which can help a lot better for the time being.

the grading policy for the class is normal. for the class its going to be long but hopefully easy because its I'm not good at history at all. but the grading policy I dot really know she didn't really explain it but ill find out late.
